IT | Server Support
Under supervision, responsible for supporting and monitoring the Windows Server operating system environment on both physical and virtual servers. Additionally, this position is responsible for requesting configuration specs within VRA for new virtual servers, reconfiguring existing servers within VRA, maintaining patch levels within the OS, as well as the installation, monitoring and maintenance of physical server hardware. This position is also responsible for working with IT application areas to evaluate new software and the software’s compatibility with the existing UAMS computing environment. Provide tier 3 technical assistance to all levels of Information Technology, application support personnel, vendors, and non-IT UAMS entities that connect to the UAMS network. Keeps up-to-date on emerging technologies that would benefit UAMS and complement UAMS' mission/goals. This position participates in a group 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year on-call rotation where each member of the group takes call for 1 week at a time.
UAMS IT Environment includes but is not limited to: Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, Intersystem Cache, Citrix XenApp, Rubrik backup, DHCP, DNS, Epic EMR, Epic, Exchange, IIS, Linux Operating Systems, Proxy, Radius, SQL Server, Storage Area Network (SAN), VMware View/ESX/Horizon, VPN, Windows Desktop Operating Systems, Windows Server Operating Systems.

Previous experience working in a Research, Higher Education, or Healthcare environment.
