Job summary

Black & Veatch invites an Associate Electrical Engineer to contribute to high-voltage substation design and EPC delivery. You will develop protection, control, and physical layout deliverables, coordinate with clients and vendors, and assist with budgets and schedules. A bachelor’s in engineering is required with 1 year of related experience; EIT is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum 1 year related work experience.
• Engineering-in-Training (EIT) Certification preferred.
• HV substation design experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports substation projects up to 765kV in design and EPC.
• Develops protection and control design deliverables including relays and diagrams.
• Develops physical design deliverables such as yard layouts and grounding.
• Prepares equipment specifications and Bills of Materials for procurement and construction.
• Communicates with clients, vendors and subcontractors.
• Travel to client/vendor offices or project sites for reviews and coordination.
