Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Associate Structural Engineer to join the Property and Buildings Team across Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Salt Lake City. You will support technical staff on due diligence, remediation, design, and construction of building projects, ensuring quality and safety compliance.

The role involves developing structural solutions, BIM modeling, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Travel to project sites may be required based on assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant post-education experience.
• Knowledge of structural engineering principles and design practices.
• Familiarity with infrastructure planning and construction management.
• Experience with design software such as SAFE, ETABS, RAM, Sp Column, AutoCAD, Revit, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design for concrete, CMU, steel, and timber structures.
• Develop solutions for retrofitting and resilience.
• Create data visualizations, reports, and calculations for projects.
• Coordinate with teams in remote or in-person meetings.
• Support senior staff and assist in small to medium projects.
