Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Associate Structural Engineer to support design and analysis for a mix of residential, commercial, and institutional projects in the Western region. You will work with the Property and Buildings Team to develop concept designs, perform calculations, and prepare drawings and models using SAFE, ETABS, RAM, and Revit.

The role emphasizes collaboration, attention to safety and code compliance, and the ability to communicate complex results to engineers and non-engineers alike.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• 1–3 years of post-education experience in structural engineering.
• Knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Design concrete, CMU, steel, light-frame wood, and mass timber structures for residential, institutional and commercial projects.
• Develop retrofitting and resiliency assessments for existing buildings.
• Coordinate with project teams via meetings, BIM modeling, and site observations.
