Job summary

Flow is seeking a Senior Associate, Strategic Finance to help inform company strategy, build sophisticated financial models, and drive new ventures from concept to launch. This role offers cross-functional collaboration across leadership to shape capital strategy, pricing, and operating models in a fast-moving, autonomous environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 1–2+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, private equity, strategic finance, or a startup operating role.
• Excellent financial modeling and presentation skills — comfortable building a model from a blank sheet.
• Ability to take initiative, operate independently, and act like an owner.
• Fluency with AI tools and applying them to finance and strategy work.
• Comfort with ambiguity and rapidly shifting priorities — excited by zero-to-one problems.
• Intellectually curious and quick to learn unfamiliar industries and business models.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to distill complex analysis into a crisp narrative.
• Willingness to work under pressure to produce outstanding results.
• Track record of integrity, sound judgment, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally with business leaders on strategic finance, including business plan formation, long-range planning, strategic alternatives, and corporate development initiatives.
• Build and maintain financial models, unit economics, and business cases to support key strategic decisions.
• Own end-to-end workstreams for new ventures: market sizing, competitive analysis, go-to-market planning, pricing, and operating model design.
• Support long-range planning, board and management presentations, and ad hoc analytical questions.
• Evaluate and support M&A, strategic partnerships, and investments connected to the new venture pipeline.
• Contribute to materials and processes for future equity and debt financings as needed.
• Build KPIs, dashboards, and reporting infrastructure to measure venture performance post-launch.

About The Role

We're looking for a passionate, driven individual to join our team as a Senior Associate, Strategic Finance. The Strategic Finance team is responsible for informing company strategy, implementing new business initiatives, coordinating capital markets activity, and performing advanced financial modeling. You will have a unique opportunity to work cross-functionally and use quantitative insights to drive better decision-making across the whole organization, including helping shape and stand up our new ventures businesses from zero to one. The best candidates will be quantitatively excellent, intellectually curious, AI-native, and able to operate with a high degree of autonomy in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally with our business leaders on all aspects of strategic finance, including but not limited to business plan formation, long-range planning, strategic alternatives, and corporate development initiatives

Ideal Background

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• 1–2+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, private equity, strategic finance, or an operating role at a high-growth startup
• Excellent financial modeling and presentation skills — comfortable building a model from a blank sheet
• Proven ability to take initiative, operate independently, and act like an owner
• Fluency with AI tools and a genuine interest in applying them to finance and strategy work
• Comfort with ambiguity and rapidly shifting priorities — energized by zero-to-one problems

$110,000 - $130,000 a year
