Job summary

Flow is seeking a Senior Associate, Strategic Finance to shape company strategy through advanced financial modeling and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll help stand up new ventures from zero to one, working with leaders across the organization to inform decisions and drive value.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in investment banking, consulting, PE, or startup finance, with strong modeling, ownership mindset, and fluency with AI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• 3–5+ years in investment banking, consulting, private equity, strategic finance, or startup operations.
• Strong financial modeling and presentation skills; able to build from a blank sheet.
• Ability to take initiative and operate independently as an owner.
• Fluency with AI tools and applying them to finance and strategy.
• Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business leaders on strategic finance, long-range planning, and corporate development.
• Build and maintain financial models, unit economics, and business cases for decisions.
• Own end-to-end workstreams for new ventures: sizing, analysis, GTM, pricing, operating model.
• Support long-range planning, board materials, and ad hoc analyses for strategy.
• Evaluate M&A, partnerships, and investments linked to new ventures.
• Contribute to materials for equity and debt financings as needed.
• Develop KPIs, dashboards, and reporting to measure venture performance post-launch.

About the Role

We're looking for a passionate, driven individual to join our team as a Senior Associate, Strategic Finance. The Strategic Finance team is responsible for informing company strategy, implementing new business initiatives, coordinating capital markets activity, and performing advanced financial modeling. You will have a unique opportunity to work cross-functionally and use quantitative insights to drive better decision-making across the whole organization, including helping shape and stand up our new ventures businesses from zero to one. The best candidates will be quantitatively excellent, intellectually curious, AI-native, and able to operate with a high degree of autonomy in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally with our business leaders on all aspects of strategic finance, including but not limited to business plan formation, long-range planning, strategic alternatives, and corporate development initiatives
• Build and maintain financial models, unit economics, and business cases to support key strategic decisions across the organization
• Own workstreams end-to-end for new ventures: market sizing, competitive analysis, go-to-market planning, pricing, and operating model design
• Support the broader Strategic Finance mandate, including long-range planning, board and management presentations, and ad hoc analytical questions that inform company strategy
• Evaluate and support M&A, strategic partnership, and investment activity connected to the new venture pipeline
• Contribute to materials and process for future equity and debt financings as needed
• Build the KPIs, dashboards, and reporting infrastructure to measure venture performance post-launch

Ideal Background

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• 3–5+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, private equity, strategic finance, or an operating role at a high-growth startup
• Excellent financial modeling and presentation skills — comfortable building a model from a blank sheet
• Proven ability to take initiative, operate independently, and act like an owner
• Fluency with AI tools and a genuine interest in applying them to finance and strategy work
• Comfort with ambiguity and rapidly shifting priorities — energized by zero-to-one problems
• Intellectually curious and quick to get up to speed on unfamiliar industries, business models, and technical domains
• Strong written and verbal communication; can distill complex analysis into a crisp narrative
• Willingness to work under pressure to produce outstanding results
• Track record of integrity, sound judgment, and genuine collaboration
