Job summary

The United States Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) seeks an Associate Software Engineer to support and enhance the Marketo platform and related CRM integrations. You will configure, integrate, and govern data flows with IT, Marketing Operations, and Sales Operations to ensure scalable and compliant marketing automation processes.

The role emphasizes platform operations, data quality, and cross-system alignment, with opportunities to learn Marketo and other tools while contributing to public health

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field.
• 1–2 years in a technical, engineering, or systems support role.
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS; basic JavaScript a plus.
• Understanding of how APIs and webhooks work, or ability to learn integration concepts quickly.
• Interest in CRM systems and/or marketing automation platforms; Marketo experience not required.
• Comfort with structured data: field mapping, data types, and schema logic.
• Strong problem-solving and clear communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support user account creation, access permissions, and role governance across marketing automation and CRM platforms.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into technical configurations and scalable solutions.
• Maintain platform architecture — folders, naming conventions, tokens, programs.
• Build and maintain field mappings between marketing platforms and CRM systems.
• Clone, configure, and test forms, landing pages, and assets in Sandbox and Production.
• Troubleshoot sync issues between systems with senior engineers' support.
• Assist with datatype changes and schema updates for stable integrations.
• Support Sandbox refresh activities and data governance practices.
• Develop trigger-based campaigns and automated workflows.
