Job summary

Highmark Health Company is seeking a software engineer to join an agile team building scalable applications across digital channels in healthcare. You will contribute to architectural decisions, design and implement features using Java, Python, and JavaScript, and ensure security, reliability, and performance.

You will participate in scrum ceremonies, write clean code, perform reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions on AWS and Oracle Cloud where

Qualifications

• 1 year in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns for scalable systems.
• Experience in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, ACE, IIB/ITX, Informatica) and two of the following: React, Angular, NodeJS, NoSQL, HTML5, CSS, GCP or AWS.
• Understanding of REST, HTTPS, and JSON web services.

Responsibilities

• Design and create engineering specifications for software applications and programs.
• Write code that adheres to coding standards and perform code reviews.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, assist in sprint planning, and help in story creation with DoD, Acceptance Criteria, and estimation.
