Job summary

Element Consulting, Inc. seeks a senior scheduler to review and manage P6 baseline and monthly schedules for LAUSD projects. You will identify missing scope, analyze critical paths, and validate cost loading against LAUSD templates.

You will create filters, layouts, and charts to support management in analyzing construction schedules. The role requires 3+ years of relevant scheduling experience, strong communication, and the ability to interpret plans and specifications for school construction

Qualifications

  • Three years of full-time professional scheduling experience, preferably on educational facilities or public works projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, drawings and contracts.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Review Contractor P6 initial Baseline Construction Schedules and identify missing scope, logic or milestones; identify and analyze the critical path; review cost loading and provide comments per LAUSD templates.
  • Review monthly Contractor P6 schedule updates and document milestone and critical path slippage; provide overall schedule analysis per LAUSD templates.
  • Create activity schedule filters, layouts, and bar-charts using P6 Primavera to analyze critical path issues.
  • Perform QA/QC on contractor submittals for conformance with contract scope and scheduling guidelines.
  • Ensure proper use of program codes, layouts and reports to maintain data integrity.
  • Create Earned Value Curves based on LAUSD EVA template guidelines.
  • Prepare reports and assist scheduling management in project reporting.

  • Create various activity schedule filters, layouts, and bar-charts utilizing P6 Primavera Schedule Software to assist the project management team in analyzing critical path construction schedule issues

Required Skills:
Required Education:

Salary dependent on education and experience. Salary range: $126K-146K

  • Minimum Requirements Required Experience:
  • Three (3) years full time paid professional experience responsible in Scheduling for an Owner or General Contractor, preferably on multiple educational facilities or public works projects or scheduling for various projects in a program
  • Proficiency in Primavera Latest Version and MS Office Suite
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, drawings and contract specifications to earn insight into the required scope of work for multiple school construction projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build efficient working relationships with project teams and department staff
  • Superior organizational and planning skills
  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, construction engineering or any related field
