Job summary

Parsons in Savannah seeks an Associate Roadway Engineer to support major regional transportation infrastructure projects. The role involves developing highway geometry, using CAD tools, and delivering plan sheets and cross-sections for roadways and intersections.

The candidate will collaborate with engineers and CAD drafters, contribute to design and estimates, and participate in ongoing roadway projects with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering required.
• Some related work experience and/or internships required.
• Engineer In Training (EIT) Certificate preferred.
• Working knowledge of CAD and PC software packages used in engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication with engineers and clients required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development of geometric design of highways and roads (horizontal/vertical geometry, cross sections, superelevation, goure details, grading plans).
• Use design software to implement project designs.
• Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Drafters/Engineers on the project.
• Assist in design and development of roadway and transportation improvement projects.
• Prepare and revise drawings, plan sheets, profiles, and roadway layouts using CAD.
