Job summary

Parsons is seeking an Associate Roadway Engineer in Miami, FL to analyze and prepare roadway and TTCP designs for Expressway and arterial routes. You will develop 3D models using GEOPAK and Open Roads, propose innovative solutions, and prepare reports for licensed engineers.

The role requires collaboration with internal teams, effective communication, and adherence to project schedules. Security clearance is not required, and a Civil/Transportation Engineering degree is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering is required.
• Experience working with roadway design and TTCPs is preferred.

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Associate Roadway Engineer to join our team!

What You\'ll Be Doing:

• Working under the supervision of a licensed engineer, analyze and prepare roadway and Temporary Traffic Control Plans (TTCP) designs, calculations and drawings for Expressway/Limited-Access facilities and Arterial/Local roads using DOT and/or local jurisdiction criteria
• Develop 3D Models of roadways, using Corridor Modeling in GEOPAK and/or Open Roads
• Approach tasks with an open mindset; propose innovative solutions to design problems
• Prepare engineering reports and contract documents for review by a licensed engineer
• May track and provide initial review tasks of technicians or designers
• Responsible for managing timely completion of multiple assigned tasks
• Communicate effectively with team members and internal design groups; external communication as required on assigned tasks
• Effectively present proposed design solutions as part of internal project meetings; may attend and contribute to presentations with external parties
• Adhere to company marketing requirements by providing timely resume updates and participating in marketing campaigns
• Ensure timely completion of time sheets and expense reports
• Take ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goals
