Job summary

Parsons in Savannah is seeking a Roadway Engineering Internship for Fall 2026 or Spring/Summer 2027. You will gain hands-on experience with a world-class team, applying Civil/Structural engineering coursework to real highway projects under direct mentorship.

The program emphasizes developing technical skills, collaborating across disciplines, and delivering contributing design work. Prior internship exposure and strong communication are valued; MS Office and MicroStation CAD proficiency are

Qualifications

Prior transportation or structural engineering coursework.
Enrolled in a Bachelors and/or Masters degree program in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field.
Interest and ability to work on multiple road and highway projects at once.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
High knowledge level of MS Office tools, CAD proficiency (Microstation preferred), and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of industry standards and applicable engineering software.

Responsibilities

Determine creative methods and solutions for complex road/highway engineering problems.
Assure designs comply with federal, state and local requirements.
Provide specifications, estimations, data sheets, and technical analyses.
Review supplier drawings and perform technical bid analyses.
Prepare and issue construction documents and data sheets.
Work on a project or team as a design engineer for various scales.
