Parsons in Chicago is seeking a Roadway Engineer to contribute to major transportation projects. You will prepare plans, sketches, and details using CAD and related tools while supporting calculations, cost estimates, and schedules.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree (B.S. or M.S.) and either an EIT certificate or eligibility, plus internship or related experience. Strong written and verbal communication is essential, and a desire to continually develop technical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Engineering-In-Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain one preferred.
• Working knowledge of CAD and other engineering software is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication and a desire to continually improve skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare plans, sketches, and details for roadways using CAD and related tools.
• Assist with engineering calculations, quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and schedules.
• Prepare design, drainage, traffic, and investigative reports and exhibits.
• Contribute technical input to team members and interact with designers and engineers.
