Job summary

University of North Texas System seeks an Associate Registrar to oversee Certifications and Degree Conferral and coordinate student, academic, and curricular records to support enrollment and retention.

The role leads teams in the Office of the Registrar, ensuring data accuracy and regulatory compliance while guiding strategic initiatives across campus. Monday–Friday schedule in Denton with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and five or more years of progressively responsible experience in academic administration or a related field.
• Or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Master's degree with 6+ years in higher education registrar/enrollment management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages multiple functional areas within the Office of the Registrar and mentors staff for development and growth.
• Provides supervision and direction for continuous improvement, compliance with regulations, and continuity of operations.
• Supports programs and systems that facilitate enrollment and retention.
• Oversees staff in assigned areas including hiring, training, evaluation, coaching and development.
• Plans and develops communications and documentation related to student records for multiple audiences.
• Ensures productivity and coordination across all areas of the Registrar.
• Engages with university leadership on processes impacting enrollment and retention.
• Acts as escalation point for complex issues and implements proactive solutions.
• Documents core processes for operational efficiency and risk management.
