Job summary

The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) seeks an Associate Project Manager Level 1 to oversee WSCP projects from concept to completion. This role requires coordinating with the Bureau of Engineering Design & Construction and other divisions to ensure scope, schedule, and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• One year of supervisory experience in project management for engineering/architectural projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, or related field and one year of project management experience.
• Or a high school diploma with five years of relevant experience and corresponding education credits.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of large capital projects from conception to completion.
• Prepare and manage schedules, budgets, and reports.
• Coordinate with DEP bureaus, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure milestones are met.
• Monitor risk, resolve issues, and ensure quality of project delivery.
• Supervise staff, allocate resources, and support professional development.
