Job summary

Irex Contracting Group is seeking an Associate Project Manager to join its team on a hands-on training program that blends office work, job sites, client offices, and territory travel. You will learn how to become a Project Manager capable of handling customers and projects with guidance from senior leaders.

During the program you will assist with estimating, proposals, and contract sales while developing core project management skills and a track record of meeting budgetary goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Willingness to learn estimating and proposal development.
• Willingness to travel within assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Learn EH&S best practices to prevent incidents and ensure compliance.
• Learn how to provide outstanding customer service that secures repeat business.
• Learn how to interpret specifications and perform material take-offs from construction drawings.
• Learn how to prepare cost estimates utilizing estimating software or field take-offs.
• Learn how to plan and coordinate with the field workforce for successful project execution.
• Learn how to manage project schedules, labor productivity, material costs, and margins.
• Learn how to develop relationships with customers, vendors, and other industry contracts.
• Learn to utilize industry-leading software tools such as Navisworks, Bluebeam, JD Edwards, Salesforce, Velocity EHS and others.
