Job summary

Irex Contracting Group is seeking a Project Engineer for its Associate program, a hands-on training path across office, job sites, and client locations in the assigned territory. You will start learning project management by supporting estimating, proposal development, and scheduling while gaining exposure to customers and projects.

Daily duties include preparing estimates, reviewing construction progress on site, and coordinating with field teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Good problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Learn best practices in health, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide outstanding customer service to secure repeat business.
• Interpret specifications and perform material take-offs from drawings.
• Prepare cost estimates using estimating software or field take-offs.
• Plan and coordinate with field teams for project execution.
• Assist in managing schedules, labor productivity, and costs.
• Develop relationships with customers and vendors.
• Utilize industry tools such as Navisworks, Bluebeam, and Salesforce.
