Performance Contracting is seeking an entry-level Associate Project Engineer for Knoxville-144 operations in Knoxville, TN. This role offers hands-on experience in project management and estimating, serving as a launching pad for future leaders within PCI.

This position is safety-sensitive and not eligible for visa sponsorship. Responsibilities include safety meetings, punch lists, QA/QC support, RFIs and submittals, labor and material coordination, scheduling, warranties, and invoicing support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Science, or comparable work experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn new skills on the job.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct safety meetings.
  • Create and manage punch lists.
  • Support PCI QA/QC measures.
  • Prepare RFIs and submittals.
  • Labor control on projects, including setup and maintenance.
  • Quantitative takeoffs for material ordering.
  • Support project scheduling implementation.
  • Coordinate warranties and O&M.

Performance Contracting is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing employee-owned organization as an entry-level Associate Project Engineer for its Knoxville-144 operations based in Knoxville, TN.

The Associate Project Engineer role serves as a launching pad for future leaders within PCI. It's a dynamic position offering hands-on experience in project management and estimating, setting the stage for professional growth and career advancement in an innovative environment.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Conducting safety meetings
  • Creating and managing punch lists
  • Supporting the Quality Control Measures outlined in PCI’s QA/QC program
  • Preparing RFI’s and submittals
  • Labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
  • Quantitative takeoffs for material ordering
  • Supporting the implementation of the job schedule
  • Coordinating warranties and O&M’s
  • Material coordination with purchase orders and invoicing

This position is safety-sensitive.

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Salary range: $70,000-75,600 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.

Basic Requirements

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Science, or comparable work experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)
  • A clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to learn new skills by engaging in technical job functions and applying new skills as they are taught
  • Strong customer service skills and relationship-building abilities

Preferred Requirements

  • OSHA certifications are a plus
  • Willing to travel/relocate based on project needs
