Job Location: Great River, NY

Position Summary

Analyze, plan, and understand the company’s financial position, support baseline planning, verify actual costs, prepare estimates at completion (EAC), conduct variance analysis, workforce projections, and forecast revenue and profit. Provide support to the Program Manager/Program Team with business and financial analysis, including financial reports for Site Management.

Primary and Essential Accountabilities
  1. Understand the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and the Strategic Guide Plan; assist in preparing program bookings, revenue, operating profit, investment, and cash flow data.
  2. Understand how job costs are collected and billed across all contract types.
  3. Work effectively on cross-functional teams.
  4. Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers.
  5. Support negotiations with government, industry prime contractors, and foreign customers.
  6. Conduct analytical studies, monitor trends, and interpret results.
  7. Support government compliance and audit activities.
  8. Understand Standards of Conduct, including conflicts of interest, improper practices, liability, and fraud.
  9. Learn about contract design and structure, including FFP, CPIF, CPFF, CPAF, BOA, IDIQ, FMS, and DCS, as well as procurement types.
  10. Develop a working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, CAS, and IFRS.
  11. Assist in proposal preparations, including bid/no-bid analysis, cost estimating, pricing, RFP review, risk mitigation, and negotiations.
  12. Understand the source selection evaluation process, including cost and price analysis, discussions, debriefings, and protests.
  13. Handle program and finance activities such as BOE, budgeting, reporting, variance analysis, EVMS, EAC, forecasting, contractual reporting, risk management, ROI, audit prep, and program reviews.
  14. Support and promote the organization's mission, values, and culture.
Secondary Accountabilities
  1. Maximize IT utilization through e-commerce and ERP/Oracle systems.
  2. Gain knowledge in emerging business operations, including management, business development, HR, operations, finance, accounting, economics, and IT.
  3. Interact effectively across all levels and cultures.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field.
  • MA/MS is highly desirable.
  • Develop understanding of FAR, DFAR, CAS, and SOX.
  • Possess financial analysis skills and principles.
Physical Requirements
  • Lifting up to 0-5 lbs.: 0-10% of the time.
  • Walking: 25-50% of the time.
  • Climbing, bending, standing, stooping: 0-10% of the time.
  • Sitting: 50-75% of the time.
  • Travel: up to 10% of the time.

The annual base salary ranges from $45,000 to $60,000, depending on experience and other factors. We offer comprehensive benefits, including healthcare, paid time off, tuition assistance, life insurance, disability plans, and a 401(k) with matching. This position operates on a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.
