The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing financial planning and analysis support to the VP, Financial Planning & Analysis, who supports the Senior Leadership of Accruent. The position requires an individual well-versed in financial analysis tools and techniques with a strong general knowledge of the software business. The primary objective is to drive financial and performance reporting for revenue, expenses, and forecasting for the leadership team.

This position reports directly to the VP, FP&A. We are a Remote First company; occasional (10%-15%) travel to our Austin headquarters or other centers may be required.

How You'll Make a Difference

1. Conduct in-depth financial analysis and modeling to support business strategies within the software industry.
2. Partner with senior leaders to provide financial reports on the performance of revenue, operating expenses, and ad hoc analysis.
3. Provide forecasting insights and deliver bookings forecasts, collaborating with sales to identify risks and opportunities.
4. Assist in developing and managing the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
5. Analyze financial performance against key metrics and provide actionable insights.
6. Support leadership in evaluating investment returns and strategic planning.
7. Conduct financial reviews of the company's monthly performance for senior management.
8. Provide financial, variance analysis, and budgeting support across the company.
9. Implement new technologies (such as AI/ML and ChatGPT) to streamline reporting and analysis.

What You Bring To The Table

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
2. 3-4 years of financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting experience, preferably in software or technology.
3. Strong communication skills, proficiency in Excel, and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
4. Detail-oriented with good organizational skills and problem-solving abilities.
5. Experience with forecasting tools, consolidation systems, and ERPs like OneStream, NetSuite, Salesforce is preferred.
6. Knowledge of SaaS metrics, recurring revenue, churn, and NDR is a plus.
