Qualifications

Job Title: Associate Program Financial Analyst

Job Location: Great River, NY

Position Summary: Analyze, plan and understand the company’s financial position, support, baseline planning, and actual cost verification, preparation of estimates at completion (EAC), variance analysis, workforce projections, revenue and profit forecasting. Provide general support to the Program Manager/Program Team with business and financial analysis as well as financial reports for Site Management.

Primary And Essential Accountabilities:

  • Understand the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and the Strategic Guide Plan process and help prepare program bookings, revenue, operating profit, investment and cash flow data.
  • Understand how job costs are collected and billed on all contract types.
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams.
  • Establish, develop and maintain effective business relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Support negotiations with the government, industry prime contractors and foreign customers.
  • Conduct analytical studies, monitor trends and interpret the results.
  • Support government compliance and audit activities.
  • Develop an understanding of the Standards of Conduct including conflicts of interest, improper practices, liability and fraud.
  • Develop an understanding of contract design and structure, including FFP, CPIF, CPFF, CPAF, BOA, IDIQ, FMS, and DCS, as well as procurement types.
  • Ability to grasp generally accepted accounting principles and develop a working knowledge of CAS and IFRS.
  • Support proposal preparations: bid/no-bid, cost estimating, pricing, RFP review, risk mitigation, negotiation.
  • Understand the source selection evaluation process, including cost and price analysis, discussions, debriefings, and protests.
  • Engage in program and finance tasks such as BOE, budget management, cost & variance analysis, EVMS, EAC, forecasting, contractual reporting, risk management, ROI, audit prep, and program reviews.
  • Support and promote the organization’s mission, values, and culture.

Secondary Accountabilities:

  • Maximize IT utilization via electronic commerce and ERP/Oracle.
  • Gain knowledge in emerging business operations including management, business development, HR, operations, finance, and IT.
  • Interact effectively at all levels and across cultures.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or related field.
  • MA/MS preferred.
  • Developing knowledge of FAR, DFAR, CAS & SOX.
  • Understanding of financial analysis principles and skills.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, MS Project, Visio, Oracle, Pro Pricer).

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting (up to 0-5 lbs.): up to 10% of time
  • Walking: 25-50% of time
  • Climbing, Bending, Standing, Stooping: up to 10% of time
  • Sitting: 50-75% of time
  • Travel: up to 10% of time

The annual base salary range is $45,000 - $60,000, with potential variation based on experience and other factors. Benefits include healthcare, paid time off, holidays, tuition assistance, life insurance, disability, and a 401(k) plan. The position operates on a 9/80 work schedule.
