Job summary

Ourvita is seeking an Associate Production Supervisor to join our Minnesota-based nutrition and healthcare manufacturing team. You will lead day-to-day operations, oversee production lines, and uphold safety, quality, and efficiency on the floor.

Ideal candidates have three years in a lead or supervisory role, experience with automated manufacturing, and strong leadership and communication abilities. Competitive pay, bonus, and benefits are offered as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in lead or supervisory role in a food, pharmaceutical, nutritional supplement or a dry products company preferred.
• Experience working with automated manufacturing preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Support Supervisor in day-to-day operations of assigned area or workgroup to ensure organization and objectives are met.
• Promote communication and teamwork across shifts / crews as applicable.
• Assist the management team to provide orientation and training of employees.
• Monitor equipment operation to ensure proper functioning.
• Ensure that all required documentation for production records is completed according to policies.
• Assists with oversight of production lines across the platforms/value stream to ensure efficient operations.
• Train line leads, and line employees on Rules and Regulations, Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and Job Expectations.
• Fill in as back‑up Supervisor when needed.
• Supervise day‑to‑day operations of assigned area or workgroup to ensure organization and objectives are met.

Schedule:

Monday to Thursday, 4:20 PM to 2:50 AM

The Associate Production Supervisor supports leadership for the Production department via rigorous application of Amerilab processes and is present on the floor 75% of the day. This role is responsible for day‑to‑day supervision of the team of employees who perform specific tasks as part of operations activities in a nutritional supplement manufacturing environment. Responsible for communicating expectations, building accountability and delivering desired results in the areas of safety, quality, delivery and cost.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Support Supervisor in day‑to‑day operations of assigned area or workgroup to ensure organization and objectives are met.

• Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Safety Protocol:
• Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
• Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
• Support safety policies and programs.
• Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Provides leadership and direction to the Production team.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
• Interviews, hires, and trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems.

Qualifications:

Education / Experience / Certifications:

• Three years of experience, preferably in a food, pharmaceutical, nutritional supplement or a dry products company in a lead or supervisory role preferred.
• Experience working with automated manufacturing preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

• Ability to lead operators daily, including coaching and mentoring operators.
• Ability to provide feedback and insight to management regarding the daily operations of the production department.
