Job summary

Ourvita is seeking a skilled Machine Operator I to join our manufacturing team, helping produce nutritional, cosmetic, and healthcare products. You will operate and monitor production equipment, perform setup, and maintain records to ensure quality and efficiency.

The role features a Monday–Thursday schedule, 4:20 PM–2:50 AM, with a quarterly bonus and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, and PTO. We value safety, training, and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1 year related field experience; or equivalent education/experience.
  • High volume machine operating experience a plus.
  • Food & beverage or pharmaceutical experience a plus.
  • Small company (<500) experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Proficiently operate, monitor and maintain daily functions of production equipment (e.g., presses, cartoning, tubing, pouches, stick machines, wrappers, labelers).
  • Set up and operate production machinery per procedures.
  • Monitor processes and adjust for quality/efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues; maintain records of runs and performance.
  • Ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance; train other operators.

Schedule:

Monday to Thursday, 4:20 PM to 2:50 AM

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Proficiently operate, monitor and maintain the daily functions of one or two pieces of production equipment. This could include equipment such as Presses, Cartoning, Tubing, Pouching, Stick Machines, Wrappers, Labelers, and accessories.
  • Set up and operate production machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Monitor production processes and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Maintain accurate records of production runs and machine performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training to other Operators as needed on equipment and SOP’s
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Safety Protocol:

Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.

Correct or report any observed safety hazards.

Support safety policies and programs.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • One (1) year related field experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High volume machine operating experience a plus.
  • Food & beverage or pharmaceutical experience a plus.
  • Small company (<500) experience a plus.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
Skills Required:
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical documentation, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Moderate mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, maintenance and supervisors.
  • Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out interactions furnished in written and oral form.
  • Ability to define problems and establish facts.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to manage time when deadlines need to be met.
