Job summary

Ourvita is seeking a skilled Maintenance Associate to support equipment reliability and production efficiency. You will manage the storeroom, CMMS data, and spare parts for packaging lines while coordinating with maintenance, engineering, and production teams.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years experience in parts room, inventory control, warehouse, or maintenance support; preferably in a food, pharmaceutical, nutritional supplement or dry products environment.
  • Previous CMMS power-user experience preferred.
  • Experience purchasing parts or managing parts inventory preferred.
  • Powered Industrial Trucks experience preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the maintenance storeroom, including inventory control, storage, organization, and flow of parts, assemblies, and maintenance supplies.
  • Serve as the CMMS subject matter expert, maintaining equipment documentation, inventory records, and system data.
  • Manage machine change parts by inspecting, cleaning, preparing, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring accurate inventory before and after packaging line changeovers.
  • Source parts, assemblies, and services from external vendors; obtain quotes, track cost-saving opportunities, and process purchase requisitions.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to support maintenance activities, projects, and scheduled downtime.
  • Receive, prioritize, and complete work requests while communicating status updates, escalating issues as needed.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and respectful work environment while supporting team and organizational goals.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, core business hours

The Maintenance Associate is responsible for supporting equipment reliability and production efficiency by managing maintenance inventory, spare parts, and machine change parts, while coordinating preventative and planned maintenance activities. This role works closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain teams to ensure parts availability, support efficient changeovers, and minimize operational downtime.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Manage the maintenance storeroom, including inventory control, storage, organization, and flow of parts, assemblies, and maintenance supplies.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the Computerized Maintenance System (CMMS), maintaining equipment documentation, inventory records, and system data.
  • Manage machine change parts by inspecting, cleaning, preparing, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring accurate inventory before and after packaging line changeovers.
  • Source parts, assemblies, and services from external vendors and contractors; obtain quotes, track cost-saving opportunities, and process purchase requisitions for capital and expense items.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to support maintenance activities, projects, and scheduled downtime.
  • Receive, prioritize, and complete work requests while communicating status updates, escalating issues as needed, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and respectful work environment while supporting team and organizational goals.

Requirements
Qualifications

Education / Experience / Certifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One to three years experience in parts room, inventory control, warehouse, or maintenance support role; preferably in a food, pharmaceutical, nutritional supplement or a dry products environment.
  • Previous experience as a power user within a CMMS preferred.
  • Previous experience purchasing parts or managing parts inventory preferred.
  • Previous experience with Powered Industrial Trucks preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
Skills Required
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, including interpreting part numbers, maintenance work orders, and technical documentation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with an understanding of inventory control and cycle-counting principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify innovative solutions and process enhancements.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and CMMS.
  • Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and maintaining a hazard-free workplace environment.
