Corning Inc. is seeking an Associate Production Manager in Concord, NC or Wilmington, NC to lead manufacturing operations and drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.

You will guide production teams, coordinate labor and equipment, and execute plant-wide improvements with a focus on capability and capacity expansion. The role includes developing talent, managing projects, and ensuring successful transitions of new products and processes into manufacturing, while reporting to plant

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering or technical discipline preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing or operations experience.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 8 years of manufacturing or operations experience.
• 5 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated leadership with a focus on safety and performance.
• Strong problem-solving and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale projects, process improvements, and support plant-wide functions.
• Support department operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, cost and productivity targets.
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety and company standards.
• Provide leadership to production teams and supervisors, including coaching and performance management.
• Plan and allocate labor, equipment, and materials to meet production demand.
• Drive data-driven problem solving and cross-functional collaboration to resolve issues.
• Support new product introduction, equipment start-up, and transition to manufacturing.
• Communicate performance, priorities, and risks to plant leadership and stakeholders.
