Job summary

Moelis & Company is seeking an Associate in its PCA group to lead primary fundraise workstreams, perform due diligence, and manage investor relations. You will prepare fund marketing materials, review economics, and coordinate with senior bankers to push flagship and first-time funds to close.

You will oversee datarooms, support fundraising campaigns, and mentor junior team members while building deep LP relationships with pension plans, endowments, and sovereign funds.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, primary fund placement, or fund of funds.
• Strong understanding of the private equity industry and primary fundraising market.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead GP due diligence workstreams and translate findings into fund positioning.
• Oversee preparation of marketing materials and review fund economics for accuracy.
• Manage investor roadshows and GP client support through close and post-close stages.
• Own the dataroom and documentation flow for active fundraising campaigns.
• Collaborate with senior distribution bankers to track investor feedback and LP orders.
• Coordinate responses to DDQs and subscription documents; assist in negotiating terms.
• Supervise junior analysts on databases of closings, terms, and LP profiles.
• Serve as a primary contact for institutional investors throughout the fundraising process.
• Conduct market research on fundraising volumes and LP allocation trends.
