As an Associate Principal in the Primary Market Research Team, you will join a dynamic, collaborative, entrepreneurial team responsible for helping build the Blue Matter business across the globe.

Primary Responsibilities

● Expertise:Intellectually curious person withdiverse research experience and acumen in quantitative research design and experience across a wide range of analytic approaches and statistical methods. Demonstrate a strategic, agile and customer-centric mindset to achieving business objectives. Address client business issues and leverage expertise across various commercial workstreams to influence data-driven decisions by leveraging primary market research and when appropriate, third-party data assets. Exemplify a collaborative mindset with demonstrated ability to work in partnership across functions, stakeholders and clients.

● Innovation:Demonstrate a high degree of creativity and innovation in supporting and contributing to the development of new products, approaches, processes, and methodologies to create and sustain competitive advantage. Contribute to thought leadership, POVs, white papers, marketing collateral, and high impact offerings.

● Business Development:Support business development activities to identifying new client opportunities and working with existing Blue Matter clients by leveraging expertise in primary market research with a specific focus on quantitative methodologies. In collaboration with Blue Matter consultants develop strong, trusted relationships with clients and actively participate in capabilities presentations, sales pitches and development of impactful and actionable research design for proposals. Ultimately ensure excellence in client satisfaction.

● Delivery:Plan, manage & execute successful research & analysis. Responsible for project execution and delivery either directly or through team management. Exemplify understanding of research methodologies and frameworks and information design to guide team in addressing client objectives & challenges.

● Team management:Mentor high-performing project team members in the delivery of cross-functional projects across multiple areas of expertise, including converting derived insight into strategic guidance and developing this skill among direct reports.

● Internal Leadership:As a key member of the leadership team, contribute to various internal projects and workstreams. Enable the team to deliver excellence in client project delivery while supporting and maintaining engagement and growth across the team.

● Coaching and development:Act as a role model to the internal team, and support their growth via coaching, training, and mentorship. Manage a team of 2-3 and eventually a team of 10+.

Requirements:

● Ph.D. or master’s degree in business administration; Statistics/Data Sciences; Social Sciences or Psychometrics; or a closely related field plus (10+) years of experience in primary market research within the commercial life sciences industry.

Preferred experience in:

● Exceptional acumen and demonstrated experience in advanced analytics techniques and applications including but not limited to demand and financial modelling/ forecasting skills, attitudinal & behavioral segmentation, modeling/conjoint studies, brand tracking/ ATUs, behavioral science, and predictive analytics in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.

● Experience utilizing a range of analytics involving standard data in the Life Sciences Industry e.g. claims data, epidemiological data, machine learning, NLP, and AI-based solutions

● Significant experience with multivariate statistical analyses, SPSS, MS Office preferred

● Supporting and managing high-performance cross-functional teams

Compensation:Base salary range: $185,000 - $225,000 per year.Generous incentive compensation structure.
