Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Power System Studies Engineer with 5–10 years of experience to join our Power System Studies team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of transmission system design concepts and analyses, and experience with software such as PSS/E, PSLF, PSCAD, and EMT studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering; minimum 5 years related work experience.
• Experience with Transmission Interconnection Studies, Reactive Power, Short Circuit, and System Stability studies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex engineering deliverables for large projects and perform advanced calculations.
• Coordinate with team members and clients; provide guidance on design standards and applicable codes.
• Lead small projects including schedules, budgets, and staffing; mentor junior staff.
• Support business development with scope, estimates, and timelines.
