Job summary

Anthro Energy is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to own design, improvement, and documentation of manufacturing processes and equipment on our cell pilot line. You will collaborate with operations and R&D to move processes from development into repeatable production.

The role emphasizes hands-on process development, equipment troubleshooting, and documentation, with expected cross-functional collaboration and a focus on safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, process, or equipment engineering (internship/co-op OK).
• Hands-on process development, equipment troubleshooting, or automation experience in production or pilot environments.
• Familiarity with mechanical systems, sensors, actuators, and process control concepts.
• CAD tooling for fixture and equipment modification design.
• Experience documenting SOPs, Work Instructions, and technical drawings.
• Comfort with fabrication, prototyping, and lab/production equipment setup.
• Ability to analyze process data and communicate conclusions (Excel, Python, JMP).
• Strong problem-solving, communications, and organizational skills.
• U.S. Citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Scope and execute equipment modification and improvements from concept to installation and qualification.
• Develop and standardize SOPs, Work Instructions, and process recipes.
• Install, set up, commission, troubleshoot equipment; drive root cause analysis.
• Analyze process data to improve throughput, yield, safety, and reliability.
• Support build campaigns on the floor with run readiness and data reviews.
• Collaborate with operations, equipment, R&D, and quality teams on process changes.
• Interface with vendors on specs, spare parts, service, and issues.
• Document technical work and communicate results to the team.
• Comply with safety and quality standards in manufacturing.
• Work flexibly in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary team.
