Job summary

Anthro Energy, Inc. seeks a Senior Manager of Manufacturing Engineering to lead the manufacturing engineering function for our advanced battery technologies, including novel phase change electrolytes and cells.

You will own equipment, tooling, and production processes, grow the team, and drive lines from pilot to commercial scale in Alameda and beyond. You will manage a team of manufacturing and process engineers and partner with R&D and suppliers to industrialize processes, overseeing

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a manufacturing or process engineering role, with battery/chemicals experience.
• 3+ years leading an engineering team.
• Hands-on experience with Li-ion unit processes and production equipment.
• Experience building and ramping Li-battery lines, including FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ, and commissioning.
• Demonstrated track record improving yield, cycle time, and scrap using data-driven methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of manufacturing and process engineers delivering scale-up initiatives.
• Own and optimize manufacturing process, equipment, and tooling for electrolyte production and cell manufacturing from pilot to commercial scale.
• Establish preventive/predictive maintenance programs and improve uptime (TPM, CMMS, spare-parts, calibration).
• Drive process and equipment optimization to hit yield, throughput, and OEE targets; improve documentation and SOPs.
• Lead industrialization and technology transfer of electrolyte and cell production to commercial lines; manage vendor relationships and capital investments.
• Oversee FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ, and equipment qualification; ensure safe, compliant operation.
• Lead safety reviews (HAZOP) and ensure regulatory compliance; report progress to leadership.
