Active California Bar membership is required. The role emphasizes strong research, writing, and communication skills, with duties including depositions, pleadings, and trial preparation.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active California State Bar membership and in good standing.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple matters.
• Interest in developing litigation skills in personal injury and automobile negligence defense.

Responsibilities

• Handle a caseload of personal injury, automobile negligence, and other civil litigation defense matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Attend court appearances, hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
• Analyze case facts, medical records, damages, and liability issues.
• Develop case strategy in collaboration with supervising attorneys.
• Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, experts, and other parties.
• Prepare matters for mediation, arbitration, and trial.
• Conduct legal research and provide written analysis as needed.
• Manage case deadlines and ensure matters are handled efficiently.
