Responsibilities

• Litigate personal injury cases and manage caseload from inception through settlement.
• Draft pleadings including complaints, motions and other documents.
• Draft and review discovery and motions.
• Conduct depositions and defend witnesses.
• Argue motions in court and remotely.
• Draft mediation briefs and participate in mediations and settlements.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategies.
• Communicate with clients regularly about case developments.
• Prepare pre-trial documents and trial materials.
• Manage mediation, settlements, and court hearings.
• Oversee litigation assistants and paralegals.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced personal injury attorney to join our firm. In this role you will be responsible for managing a caseload of personal injury claims from inception through settlement negotiation. You will diligently represent our clients' interests and ensure they receive fair compensation for their injuries.

Responsibilities

• Strategically litigate personal injury cases by working up case files
• Draft pleadings, including complaints, motions, oppositions, and other legal documents to advance case progression
• Draft and review discovery, meet and confer letters, and discovery motions
• Prepare, conduct, and defend percipient and expert depositions
• Argue motion and opposition hearings remotely and in court
• Draft mediation briefs, attend mediation, and actively participate in negotiating settlements
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and assess case values
• Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates and discuss case developments
• Prepare pre-trial documents and trial materials in case the case goes to trial
• Participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and court hearings
• Manage and provide guidance to litigation assistants and paralegals

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the California State Bar and in good standing
• 1+ years of Personal Injury Attorney experience required
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrate commitment to client advocacy, integrity, and professionalism
• Excellent research, communication, and negotiation skills

Compensation Range

$125,000 – $200,000 including commission (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
