The Council on Foundations is seeking an Associate, Legal Resources to provide administrative and logistical support to the Legal Resources team, including events, trainings, and virtual peer spaces.

This position is primarily remote with 10% travel. Starting pay is $33.75 to $37.75 per hour, based on the Washington, DC area, with duties spanning scheduling, email management, calendar support for engagements, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of relevant work experience in a professional office environment, preferably at a nonprofit organization, membership association or mission-oriented law firm.
  • 1 year of experience with project management software, such as Monday.com.
  • 1 year of experience thinking independently and using discretion, initiative and discipline, to support a manager.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Legal Resources team including scheduling calls with Council members and legal counsel.
  • Support the development and logistics of virtual peer spaces, including invitations and registrations.
  • Manage shared email inbox and ensure timely responses to members.
  • Maintain centralized folder of legal resources and organize topically.
  • Enter inquiries in Salesforce via SharePoint Connect and verify resolutions.
  • Update webpages for Legal Resources as needed.
  • Provide calendar support for speaking engagements, webinars, and conferences.
  • Participate in cross-functional working groups to advance organizational goals.

Job description

Note: This job is primarily remote, with 10% travel required. Starting salary range of $33.75 - $37.75 hourly. Salary range is based on Washington, D.C. area.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Associate, Legal Resources is responsible for providing ongoing administrative and logistical support to the Legal Resources team, as well as support for events, trainings, and other virtual peer spaces.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide administrative support to the Council’s Legal Resources team including scheduling calls with Council members and legal counsel, supporting team meetings, and participating in cross-organizational meetings.
  • Support the development and logistics of virtual peer spaces led by the Legal Resources team, including drafting email invitations, event registration set up, and Salesforce data hygiene.
  • Manage shared email inbox to ensure emails are assigned to the appropriate staff counsel and that Council members receive a timely response.
  • Maintain centralized folder of legal resources currently housed on the website and arrange resources topically.
  • Enter members’ inquiries in Salesforce via SharePoint Connect and verify that inquiries are resolved via call, letter, or email are addressed.
  • Manage and request, or perform, updates to the webpages for Legal Resources.
  • Provide calendar and administrative support for upcoming speaking engagements, webinars, and conference sessions, including logistics, meeting materials, facilitating collaboration with guest speakers, and following through on all details.
  • Contribute to overarching organization goals by participating in cross-functional working groups.
QUALIFICATIONS
