Job description

The Role

The Associate IT Operations Engineer is responsible for providing on-site and remote technical support to end-users, diagnosing hardware and software issues, and assisting in maintaining IT retail or CpG infrastructure. This entry-level role requires basic troubleshooting skills, strong customer service abilities, and a drive to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

1. Provide basic troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
2. Assist with set up, configure, and deploy desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
3. Assist with basic network troubleshooting, including Wi-Fi connectivity and IP configuration.
4. Document issues, resolutions, and escalate complex problems to advanced support when necessary.
5. Assist in user onboarding.
6. Travel to client sites to provide hands-on support as needed and requested (up to 75%).
7. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Associate degree in IT or advanced service desk experience (3+ years).
2. Basic understanding of Windows/macOS operating systems and common software applications.
3. Basic understanding of networking.
4. Strong communication and customer service skills.
5. Willing to learn and grow technical skills in either GTI CpG or Retail IT.
6. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites.
7. Ability to lift and move IT equipment (up to 75 lbs).

Additional Requirements

1. Must pass any and all required background checks.
2. Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
3. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
4. Must be approved by state badging agency to work in the cannabis industry.

The pay range is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and/or location of the role. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.

Green Thumb Pay Range: $65,000 — $75,000 USD.
