Job summary

Cipriani & Werner P.C. seeks an NY/NJ Associate for its Woodbridge Office in Iselin, NJ. The role supports a growing team with a focus on general liability litigation across NJ and NY, including discovery, motions, and trial work.

The position is hybrid, requiring strong legal research, client communication, and collaboration within a fast-paced environment. A JD and active NJ/NY license are required, with 2–4 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from ABA-approved law school and active license in good standing in NJ and NY.
• 2–4 years of General Liability litigation experience preferred in NJ/NY matters.
• Experience in NY and NJ commercial motor vehicle defense, UM/UIM, premises liability, construction accident and product liability preferred. Trial experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software preferred.

The Woodbridge Office in Iselin, NJ is looking for an NY/NJ Associate to join our growing team.

• Evaluate new files.
• Client communications.
• Discovery production.
• Research and prepare legal memoranda on various areas of law.
• Prepare and argue discovery.
• Substantive, dispositive pre- and post-trial motions and appeals.
• Attend pretrial listings.
• Motions and trial.

Position Requirements

• Must have a JD degree from an ABA-approved law school and maintain an active license in good standing in New Jersey and New York.
• 2-4 years of General Liability litigation experience preferred in both NJ and NY matters.
• Experience in both NY and NJ commercial motor vehicle defense, UM/UIM, premises liability, construction accident and product liability preferred. Trial experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software preferred.
• Must be a self-motivated independent thinker with excellent time management skills, strong organizational skills, and outstanding communication skills with the ability to work as a team member in a high-volume fast paced work environment.

This is a hybrid position.

The salary range for this position is $90,000-$150,000 and represents C&W’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend upon a number of factors, included but not limited to experience and qualifications.
