Job summary

United Wholesale Mortgage is seeking an Associate General Counsel to support regulatory and legal matters, oversee title-related legal projects, and manage loan-level litigation. This on-site role at our Pontiac, MI headquarters requires extensive litigation experience and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include pre-litigation work, vendor relationship reviews, and providing training to teams while staying compliant with evolving mortgage regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in corporate legal work.

Job description

Our Associate General Counsel will support our business with all regulatory and legal matters. They will be responsible for overseeing title-related legal projects as well as servicing and other loan-level litigation.

This position requires 100% on-site attendance at our headquarters in Pontiac, MI.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Focus on Mortgage Servicing Litigation
• Providing business support on a variety of regulatory and legal matters
• Interpreting legislation and regulations affecting mortgage brokers and lenders
• Reviewing business relationships with vendors
• Conducting legal research on unique legal issues impacting the organization
• Keeping abreast of legislative changes that may affect the Company
• Performing pre-litigation work to minimize risks and maximize legal rights
• Providing legal training to Company team members
