Job summary

YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids seeks an Associate Executive Director to lead day-to-day operations at the Visser Family YMCA. You will oversee branch programs, staff, membership services, and facility operations, driving member engagement, growth, and community impact.

The role requires strategic oversight, staff development, budgeting, fundraising support, and strong safety and regulatory compliance. Early mornings and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration required or preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of supervision, program development, budget management, fundraising, and community collaboration experience.
• Experience in staff development, performance reviews, and budget oversight preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of Visser Family YMCA, including programs, membership services, staff, and facilities.
• Manage operating budget and annual budget development; monitor forecasts.
• Support fundraising efforts and community outreach to grow membership and impact.
• Supervise staff from director to frontline levels; conduct performance reviews and staff development.
• Ensure safety, risk management, and compliance with policies and licensing where applicable.
• Represent the Y at community events and foster volunteer engagement.
