Job summary

The Greater Providence YMCA is seeking an Executive Director to lead transformational growth, community impact, and redevelopment across Kent County. You will provide strategic and operational leadership for branch operations, staff development, fundraising, and financial performance in alignment with the YMCA mission.

Responsibilities include advancing membership, programs, and community partnerships while coordinating redevelopment planning with Association leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, nonprofit management, public administration, community development, or a related field preferred.
• A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible leadership experience is preferred.
• YMCA Organizational Leader certification is preferred or must be obtained within an agreed-upon timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for branch operations aligned with the YMCA’s mission and redevelopment strategy.
• Oversee membership growth, programs, and community impact.
• Manage operating budget, fundraising, and capital planning.
• Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing staff team.
• Engage community partners and branch council to support programs and redevelopment.
• Lead the Kent County YMCA redevelopment planning and execution.
