Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation in Benton Harbor, MI is seeking an Associate, Engineering role focused on the Refrigeration team. This onsite position advances product development for the Cooling, Ice & Water system, using FMEA, DOE, and Six Sigma methods to meet safety and quality KPIs.

You will collaborate across functions to design, verify, and validate components and processes, while driving intellectual property and meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 1+ year in engineering/manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Product Development projects for Refrigeration I&W system.
• Apply concurrent engineering: design concepts, variation control, verification/validation.
• Deliver KPIs for Cooling I&W system (leadership, regulatory, safety).
• Perform design capture using FMEA and requirement capture.
• Utilize Six Sigma tools and DOEs to drive development.
• Support IP protection with patent submissions.
