Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation seeks an Associate, Engineering to join the Refrigeration team at the Benton Harbor, MI Tech Center. This on-site role focuses on developing cooling, ice & water systems within a structured, Six Sigma-driven environment.

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's in Engineering and 1+ year in engineering/manufacturing, with strong analytical and communication abilities to coordinate cross-functional partners and meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 1+ year of experience in engineering or manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development for the refrigeration I&W system with a focus on cooling, ice & water.
• Apply concurrent engineering concepts: design concept development, verification and validation.
• Deliver KPIs for the Cooling I&W system including leadership, regulatory, safety, and quality.
• Create design captures using FMEA, requirements capture, test-to-fail/learn, simulations.
• Use Six Sigma tools (OPEx), DOEs, COVs, process maps to drive development.
• Pursue IP protection by filing patent applications.
