Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking an Associate Engineer to work on complex electrical systems, including substation design, protection and control, and grid modernization initiatives. The role combines office and field work, with travel across MA/CT/NH and potential emergency response assignments.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 0–3 years of related experience; familiarity with power software is a plus. Salary ranges are provided in the posting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 0–3 years of related experience required; engineering design experience preferred.
• Familiarity with power-related software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering/technical services for complex systems and equipment.
• Design new substations and infrastructure, analyze system disturbances.
• Support protection and control circuits and acceptance testing of equipment.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across grid modernization, transmission, and distribution.
• Travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary and participate in emergency restoration if required.
