Job summary

NEOTech in Chatsworth, CA is seeking a full-time engineer associate to implement product and process support tasks. You will work with a multidisciplinary engineering staff to interpret specs, develop work instructions and support production layouts.

Candidates should have an engineering background, strong communication skills, and familiarity with ISO9000/AS9100 environments. ESD compliance and QA-related duties are part of the role.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Engineering or related coursework; BS EE preferred.
  • Experience with Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in ISO9000/AS9100 environments is a plus.
  • Ability to read specifications and schematics.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a production environment wearing PPE.
  • Fluency in English (intermediate reading/writing).
  • Able to diagnose and troubleshoot electronic manufacturing systems.
  • Interpret drawings and engineering instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all ESD requirements.
  • Perform risk management / FMEA and process validation.
  • Interpret specifications, drawings and engineering instructions.
  • Develop test and manufacturing work instructions.
  • Support production line layouts in assembly and test areas.
  • Draft manufacturing work instructions.
  • Train for IQ/OQ/PQ.
  • Support 6S objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Perform implementation duties relating to product and process support. Can be part of multidisciplinary engineering staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to all ESD requirements
  • Risk Management/FMEA Process validation.
  • Communication, both written and verbal, with customers and associates.
  • Interpret specifications, drawings and engineering instructions.
  • Develop test and manufacturing work instructions.
  • Support production line layouts in the assembly and test areas.
  • Draft product manufacturing work instructions.
  • Must be able to be trained for the implementation of Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), Performance Qualification (PQ).
  • Exposure to Design for Manufacturability (DFM) or Design for Assembly (DFA).
  • Train and perform Quality Management Systems cross functional internal audits.
  • Comply with all in-house training as identified in job specific family and or specific training plan.
  • Support all corporate and site 6S objectives.
  • Perform all other duties, as assigned.

  • Ability to utilize electronic manufacturing systems
  • Ability to diagnose/troubleshoot.
  • Ability to interpret specifications and schematics.
  • Basic mechanical drawing skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Corrected vision with the ability to work with fine tools under a microscope
  • Ability to work in a production environment wearing a smock, hairnet and face mask as required
  • Ability to read and write English at an intermediate level
  • Ability to work in a team and be a good team member.
  • Sense of urgency, successful in meeting company quality and production objectives
Experience/Education:
  • Associate degree in Engineering or additional coursework or on-the-job training in electronics or electrical engineering. BS Degree in EE preferred.
  • Experienced using Windows operating systems including Microsoft Office products
  • Experience working for an ISO9000 or AS9100 accredited organization is a plus
