Job summary

NEOTech in Chatsworth, CA is seeking a full-time Manufacturing Equipment Engineer to support and optimize production equipment including screen printers, pick & place, reflow, wave, and AOI systems. The role focuses on programing, troubleshooting, and maintaining equipment while driving process improvements and meeting IPC/ISO standards.

This position requires a BS in Engineering and 5+ years in the electronics industry, with lead-free process experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Engineering, Science or Math.
  • 5 years within the Electronics Industry.
  • Experience with lead free processes preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Program, troubleshoot & maintain manufacturing process equipment as required as referenced in the summary section.
  • Support engineering initiatives in evaluating: solders, fluxes, new equipment (installations) and recommends solutions both tactically and strategically.
  • Monitor and maintains Aqueous cleaner and Ionic contamination testing equipment to acceptable standards while conforming to customer/IPC requirements.
  • Initiate process improvements through effective evaluations of test/yield data and manufacturing defects and make adjustments to process equipment accordingly.
  • Create, present, and obtain approval for capital investment programs.
  • Work with Production to develop and direct opportunities that affect revenues, costs and processes.
  • Prepares and submits reports, as required.
  • Provides guidance to machine operators/production employees and shows alternate methods of solving or preventing process, business, or technical problems.
  • Interacts with other functional and business groups or with outside vendors.
  • Complies with Environmental Health and Safety regulations.
  • Support and follow all ISO standards related to OnCore's various Quality Management Systems. These systems may include, but are not limited to, quality, the environment, health, safety and security.
  • Support all corporate and site 6S objectives.
  • Perform all other duties, as assigned.

Summary:

Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Pass IPC-DVD-64C Component Identification.
  • Pass IPC-A-610 Modules 1 & 2.
  • Knowledge of: Surface Mount Technology, Documentation Control, Wave Soldering Technology.
QualificationsExperience/Education:
  • B.S. in Engineering, Science or Math.
  • 5 Years within the Electronics Industry.
  • Experience with lead free processes preferred.
