Job summary

NEOTech is seeking a 5DX Operator to inspect products on the SMT line using Automated 5DX x-ray inspection equipment. This role emphasizes adherence to ISO standards, ESD compliance, and data integrity for defect reporting.

The successful candidate will perform routine inspections, verify program compliance, and support quality management systems while handling materials according to MSD/MSL guidelines. This is a full-time on-site position in Chatsworth, CA.

Qualifications

• Experience using electronic manufacturing systems is required.
• Good computer skills and familiarity with databases or software interfaces.
• Knowledge of AOI procedures and quality inspection standards.
• Pass IPC-A-610 Modules 1, 2 as part of qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Verify process compliance for 5DX programs and enter defect data.
• Adhere to ESD requirements and board handling procedures.
• Follow MSD handling requirements based on MSL.
• Verify product workmanship against work instructions.
• Ensure data integrity from machines and communicate defects to improve programs.
• Support ISO standards and 5S initiatives.

Summary

the 5DX Operator performs inspection of product run through Automated 5DX x-ray inspection equipment as it is manufactured on the SMT line.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Verify process compliance to established 5DX programs with respect to selecting programs, identifying failures called out by the program and entering defect data into OCuity, as well as data transfer between 5DX and PLR.
• Adhere to all ESD requirements and Board Handling.
• Use of Moisture Sensitive Device (MSD) handling requirements based on the components’ moisture sensitive levels (MSL).
• Verify product compliance to workmanship standards as documented in work instructions.
• Verify integrity of data collected by machinery.
• Communicate defects not captured by equipment to responsible personnel for enhancement of program integrity.
• Communicate to assembly operators defects being noted during the 5DX program review.
• Support and follow all ISO standards related to NEOTech'svarious Quality Management Systems. These systems may include, but are not limited to, quality, the environment, health, safety and security.
• Support all corporate and site 5S objectives.
• Perform all other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to utilize electronic manufacturing system (OCuity)
• Computer proficiency.
• Knowledge of Automated Optical Inspection equipment and procedures.
• Pass IPC-A-610 Modules 1, 2.
• Ability to work on single task / procedures / products.
• Highly repetitive or routine duties
• Ability to support 1-2 product lines / customer(s)
• Normally receives detailed instructions on work
• Works under close supervision

Experience/Education

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 0-6 months of related experience.
