We are seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer for a school district modernization program.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide electrical design work, coordinating with in-house staff and task order engineers.
2. Review construction drawings for compliance with District standards and electrical codes.
3. Support construction administration for ongoing projects.
4. Prepare electrical estimates and reports to assist in funding acquisition.
5. Assist Design Managers with defining electrical scope and virtual DSA backcheck appointments.
6. Visit school sites to determine as-built conditions when drawings are unavailable or incorrect.
7. Resolve electrical issues during construction, providing guidance on code compliance.
8. Coordinate with engineers and service providers for power upgrades, guiding design approval.
9. Support Asset Management in clarifying electrical scope for modernization projects.
10. Update District design guides with new code requirements and conduct research on code changes.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Experience:

Three (3) years of professional electrical design experience in a public agency, school construction, or large commercial projects, including K-12 school projects within the last 5 years. Experience in power design (low and medium voltage), low voltage systems (fire alarm, PA, data), DSA processes, and CAD (AutoCAD 2020+). Alternatively, a valid California Professional Electrical Engineer license.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized college or university.

Salary Range:

$110,000 - $128,440 annually, depending on experience.
