Job Description

STV is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer for the Construction Management Program in Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities include:

1. Providing electrical design work, coordinating with in-house staff and task order engineers.
2. Reviewing construction drawings for compliance with District standards and electrical codes.
3. Supporting construction administration for ongoing projects.
4. Preparing electrical estimates and reports to assist in project funding.
5. Defining electrical scope with Design Managers.
6. Participating in virtual DSA backcheck appointments.
7. Visiting school sites to assess as-built conditions when drawings are unavailable or incorrect.
8. Resolving electrical issues during construction with subject matter experts.
9. Coordinating with engineers and service providers for power upgrades, providing guidance and approval.
10. Assisting Asset Management in clarifying and approving electrical scopes for modernization projects.
11. Updating District design guides based on new code requirements and standards.
12. Researching code changes and identifying implementation methods.
13. Performing other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• At least three (3) years of full-time professional electrical design experience in a public agency, school construction, or large commercial projects.
• Valid California Professional Electrical Engineer registration.

Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from a recognized college or university.

Compensation Range: $98,010.59 - $130,680.78
