Note: This role could be based in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, or our Seattle Office. Candidates must have done electrical engineering work in the state of CA.

What would you be doing?
- Work closely with clients, architects, and other Engineers and/or design team members as part of a dedicated and skilled team.
- Produce detailed design drawings, electronic models, specifications, reports, site observation reports, schedules, etc., on various projects within the electrical discipline, including coordination with utility companies and obtaining electrical permit approvals from Plan Check.
- Organize technical and financial proposals for new work.
- Manage workload of Project Discipline Engineers and Technicians, including quality verification.
- Develop concept and preliminary engineering solutions for detailed design.
- Prepare Technical Specifications.
- Monitor financial performance of projects.
- Keep senior staff informed of relevant service/design decisions and ensure client objectives are met.
- Mentor junior Electrical Engineers.
- Ensure practices, policies, and services align with client interests, current legislation, and relevant building codes.
- Plan, organize, and manage personal workload to meet deadlines.
- Proactively raise concerns regarding workload and deadlines.
- Oversee project team workload and commitments to meet deadlines and optimize resource utilization.
- Contribute to delivering profitable projects, including financial monitoring and resource planning.
What are we looking for?
- 8+ years of electrical engineering design experience in building services and construction.
- Experience in sectors like Higher Education, Museums, Commercial, Transportation Hubs, and Stadiums.
- Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification is desirable.
- LEED AP accreditation.
- Experience using Revit.
- Familiarity with computational analysis tools such as electrical fault analysis and lighting design software.
- Ability to take responsibility and work independently within a team environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills, including presentation experience to senior stakeholders.
- Experience preparing technical reports for clients.
- Ability to propose multiple solutions and evaluate their benefits and drawbacks.
