Associate Disability Claims Examiner (STD, Remote)

Overview

The Associate Disability Claims Examiner will handle a claim block of routine disability claims, ensuring timely and accurate decisions while focusing on customer experience.

Work Arrangement

This position is Fully Remote. Occasional on-site presence may be required based on business needs.

Responsibilities

1. Manage a block of routine Disability claims effectively and accurately.
2. Deliver excellent customer service and maintain customer relationships.
3. Ensure accurate, dependable, and trustworthy service.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in Short Term Disability claim management or related health claim fields preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
• Proven customer service skills.
• Knowledge of claim/risk management, contract interpretation, and administration.
• Proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $43,600 - $64,800, based on location, experience, and skills. Includes bonuses, health insurance, 401(k), pension, wellness programs, educational benefits, and stock purchase options.
