Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Field-based Medical Science Liaison/Thought Leader Engagement professional in the Mid-Atlantic region (Philadelphia–DC corridor). You will cultivate relationships with Dermatology Medical Experts and drive compliant engagements to inform marketing and educational strategies.

Responsibilities include leading advisory boards, coordinating congress activities, and delivering actionable insights to cross-functional teams while traveling up to 80% of the time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA/advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years in Thought Leader/Medical Expert engagement, field marketing, MSL, or related pharma/biotech roles.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and strengthen relationships with established and emerging Medical Experts in Dermatology.
• Conduct compliant Medical Expert engagements to generate insights supporting strategic business priorities.
• Facilitate discussions using approved resources to inform marketing and educational strategies.
• Capture, synthesize, and communicate actionable insights to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Support peer-to-peer education (expert insights, speaker development, educational planning) and moderate approved educational programs/peer exchanges.
• Lead/support advisory boards, insight forums, speaker initiatives, and other marketing programs.
• Coordinate Medical Expert engagement for congresses, society meetings, and external events.
• Partner across Marketing, Medical Affairs, HCP Education, and Congress teams to execute aligned strategies.
• Use digital tools and CRM platforms for engagement planning, insight generation, and collaboration.

Qualifications (Essential):

• Bachelor's degree (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
• 5+ years in Thought Leader/Medical Expert engagement, field-based/regional marketing, HCP education, MSL/account management, medical communications, or related pharma/biotech role.
• Reside within the territory (Mid-Atlantic; between Philadelphia and Washington, DC; no relocation).
• Up to 80% travel; valid driver's license; ability to drive/fly across the territory.
• Proven compliant relationship-building with physicians and healthcare professionals.
• Strong understanding of field-based marketing, insight generation, peer-to-peer education, congress planning, and compliant cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong analytical, communication, facilitation/presentation, organizational, and project management skills; influence without authority.
• Experience with CRM/digital engagement/insight capture tools; financial/budget acumen; strong compliance and ethical decision-making.

Desirable:

• Dermatology therapeutic area experience.
• Cross-functional experience with Marketing, Medical Affairs, HCP Education, Congress Strategy, and field leadership.
