Job summary

Harvard University, within the Harvard Foundation and Office of Culture & Community, seeks an Associate Director to lead initiatives that support student life and foster a pluralistic, engaging campus environment. You will coordinate events, supervise staff, and partner with colleges and offices to enhance student programming and community dialogue.

You will lead learning outcomes, manage budgets for programs, and provide strategic direction for student organizations in a dynamic, on‑site

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Experience with student activities managing programming/events and assessment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively on multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, and supervise undergraduate and graduate student employees.
  • Advise student organizations and conduct leadership development.
  • Represent student views in appropriate arenas and provide feedback between students and college administration.
  • Play a key role in program development to engage the College community.
  • Support capacity-building for colleagues to reflect inclusive student needs.
